The Piano Buying Process

Purchasing a piano is a highly individualized process. Every instrument is unique, particularly antique, restored, rebuilt, refurbished, and custom pianos. Delivery requirements, installation conditions, accessibility, climate considerations, and customer preferences vary considerably from one purchase to another.

For this reason, we encourage customers to contact us before completing an online purchase so we can answer questions, discuss delivery options, and ensure the instrument is the right fit.

By submitting an order through our Website, you acknowledge that additional charges—including but not limited to delivery, piano moving, stairs, crane services, installation, climate-control recommendations, taxes, or other applicable services—may apply. No piano purchase will be finalized until all applicable costs have been reviewed and accepted by both parties.

Your submission of personal information through the store is governed by our Privacy Policy, which can be viewed here: PRIVACY POLICY

Product Availability

Many of the pianos we offer are one-of-a-kind instruments.

Although we make every effort to maintain accurate inventory, a piano may be sold in our showroom, reserved for another customer, or otherwise become unavailable before our Website is updated.

If an item becomes unavailable after an order is placed, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund of any payments received.

Product Information

We strive to accurately display product descriptions, specifications, photographs, videos, finishes, dimensions, and pricing.

Because antique and restored pianos are handcrafted instruments, natural variations in wood grain, veneer, color, cabinet details, hardware, and finish should be expected.

Colors, wood grain, sheen, and finishes may appear differently depending on lighting, photography, and monitor settings.

Photographs are intended to represent the actual piano whenever practical but should not be considered a guarantee of exact appearance.

Pricing

All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise noted.

Prices, specifications, availability, and promotions are subject to change without notice.

Occasionally errors in pricing or product information may occur. We reserve the right to correct any typographical, pricing, or listing errors and to cancel or refuse orders based upon incorrect information.

Payment Methods

We accept payment by methods approved by Brigham Larson Pianos, which may include:

  • Cash
  • Personal or cashier's check
  • Bank wire transfer
  • Approved financing through participating lenders
  • Debit cards
  • Major credit cards on qualifying purchases

Certain purchases, restoration projects, or custom work may require deposits before work begins or inventory is reserved.

Deposits

Deposits reserve production time, restoration scheduling, inventory, materials, or special-order products.

Unless otherwise stated in a separate written agreement, deposits may become non-refundable once restoration work, custom manufacturing, or special ordering has begun.

Project-specific agreements supersede these general Terms whenever applicable.

Financing

Financing may be available through third-party lending institutions for qualified buyers.

Approval, repayment terms, interest rates, and financing decisions are solely the responsibility of the financing provider.

Warranties

Warranty coverage varies depending on the product or service purchased.

  • Manufacturer Warranty (for new pianos)
  • 3-Year BLP Warranty (for Brigham-restored/refurbished pianos)

New pianos may be covered by a manufacturer's warranty, while refurbished, restored, rebuilt, and used pianos may include a separate written warranty provided by Brigham Larson Pianos, if applicable.

The specific terms, duration, coverage, and exclusions of any warranty will be provided in the applicable sales agreement, warranty document, or purchase paperwork.

Except as expressly stated in a written warranty or as otherwise required by applicable law, no additional warranties are made regarding any product or service.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Restoration Services

Brigham Larson Pianos specializes in the restoration and rebuilding of antique and heirloom pianos.

Every restoration project is unique.

Restoration work is performed using a combination of original, restored, remanufactured, reproduction, and newly manufactured components, as appropriate for each instrument. Specific materials and methods may vary depending on the condition of the piano and the agreed scope of work.

While we make every effort to provide accurate estimates regarding cost, scope, and completion time, hidden structural conditions are frequently discovered only after restoration has begun.

Additional repairs or recommendations may become necessary as work progresses.

Estimated completion dates are approximate and are not guarantees.

Antique & Heirloom Pianos

Many instruments restored or sold by Brigham Larson Pianos are over one hundred years old.

These pianos possess natural characteristics associated with handcrafted construction and age.

While our restoration process renews the structural integrity, appearance, and musical performance of each instrument, variations in wood grain, cabinet construction, veneer, finish, and historical manufacturing techniques are part of each piano's unique character.

No two restorations are identical.

Delivery & Shipping

Brigham Larson Pianos provides piano delivery throughout the United States and can assist with international shipping arrangements.

Delivery pricing varies based upon numerous factors including:

  • Distance
  • Accessibility
  • Stairways
  • Elevator access
  • Crane requirements
  • Climate considerations
  • Additional setup requirements

Delivery dates are estimates only and may change due to weather, transportation delays, scheduling, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Customers are responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to the delivery location.

Piano Moving

Professional piano moving involves specialized equipment and inherent risks due to the size, weight, and age of the instrument.

While we exercise reasonable care during transportation, Brigham Larson Pianos is not responsible for damages resulting from pre-existing structural conditions within the instrument, unsafe customer premises, undisclosed access limitations, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Piano Tuning & Service

Pianos naturally respond to seasonal humidity and temperature fluctuations.

No piano can be guaranteed to remain in tune for any specific period following tuning or service.

Recommendations provided by our technicians represent professional opinions based upon the condition of the instrument at the time of inspection.

Rentals & Storage

Piano rental, storage, and event services may be governed by separate written agreements.

Where a separate agreement exists, its terms shall control over these Website Terms.
