Collection: Falcone Pianos

Falcone pianos were founded in 1982 by Santi Falcone, a piano technician originally from Sicily. He established the company in Woburn, Massachusetts, with the goal of creating high-quality, affordable pianos. Falcone pianos are particularly known for their exceptional craftsmanship and innovative features. The company produced three main models: the Model 61 (6'1"), Model 74 (7'4"), and Model 90 (9'), each offering a unique blend of quality and affordability.

A notable innovation of Falcone pianos is the "soundboard calibrator," which regulates the tension of the soundboard, enhancing the instrument's tonal control and sustain. The pianos also feature a 2 ¾” hard rock maple rim, quarter-sawn white spruce soundboards, and custom action parts by Renner. Despite the initial success and high quality of the instruments, Falcone faced financial difficulties and was sold to Bernard Greer in 1989. Subsequently, the Falcone brand became part of the Mason & Hamlin Corporation and later moved its manufacturing to China under Nanjing Moutrie Piano Company.

Falcone pianos are revered for their robust construction, superior sound quality, and historical significance, often compared to premium brands like Steinway and Bösendorfer. Although production ceased in 2016, these pianos remain highly sought after by collectors and musicians for their unique characteristics and legacy of excellence.
