Collection: Cable Nelson Pianos

Cable-Nelson pianos have a rich history dating back to 1903 when Fayette S. Cable purchased the Lakeside Piano Company and Sweetland Piano Company, forming the Fayette S. Cable Piano Company. In 1905, the company merged with the Nelson Piano Company, creating the Cable-Nelson brand. Known for their durable construction and excellent tone, Cable-Nelson pianos became a staple in American households.

The brand underwent several ownership changes over the years. In the late 1920s, Cable-Nelson was acquired by the Everett Piano Company, further solidifying its reputation in the piano industry. Later, in 1954, the brand was acquired by the Hammond Organ Company, which continued its legacy of quality craftsmanship.

In 1973, Yamaha purchased the Cable-Nelson brand, integrating its design and manufacturing expertise. Yamaha reintroduced Cable-Nelson pianos in 2006, maintaining their historical quality while offering them as an entry-level option with Yamaha's renowned craftsmanship. This acquisition by Yamaha ensured that Cable-Nelson pianos continued to offer a high-quality instrument at an attractive price point.
