I’m really excited about this piano. This is the Hailun HU-125A Crystal Upright, and it’s a brand-new design now being offered by Hailun.

Obviously, the first thing you notice is the cabinet. It’s a 49.5" upright built with clear acrylic and beautiful brass trim, so you can actually see the piano working while it’s being played. You can watch the hammers move, see the action working, and see the strings and all of the mechanics that are normally hidden inside an upright piano. It’s really fun to watch, and visually, it’s just a spectacular instrument.

But what I really like is that this isn’t just a piano that looks interesting. It’s a real, high-quality Hailun acoustic piano. You still get that rich, full sound, a really nice bass for an upright of this size, a balanced tone, and a responsive action. So underneath this very unique cabinet, you’ve got a serious musical instrument.

And then we’ve taken it one step further by adding a QRS PNOmation self-playing system. You can pull out your phone or tablet, choose from thousands of songs, and actually watch the piano play itself—which, with the clear cabinet, is especially cool because you get to see all of that action happening inside the piano.

Of course, you can sit down and play it normally anytime you want. The QRS system is designed to work seamlessly with the acoustic piano without taking away from the natural playing experience.

I’ve worked on and played thousands of pianos over the years, and this is definitely one you stop and look at when you walk into the room. It combines a really unique new design with the sound, touch, and craftsmanship that have made us such big fans of Hailun pianos.
