This 1955 Kimball spinet has been fully refurbished on the inside and refinished on the outside, bringing it back to a clean, functional condition with a beautifully restored cabinet.

Starting with the exterior, the wood grain on this piano turned out especially well. The refinishing work highlights the natural character of the cabinet, and details like the hardware, pedals, and trim have all been cleaned up and restored. Overall, it presents very well cosmetically.

On the inside, this piano has gone through a full refurbishment process. All of the original components have been carefully serviced rather than replaced. That includes repinning, hammer reshaping, alignment, lubrication, tightening, and full regulation of the action.

The goal with that process is to get the piano functioning as close as possible to new within the limits of its original design. When properly regulated, you get correct aftertouch, consistent repetition, and a smooth, controlled feel across the keyboard.
