Camp Company Pianos

Camp & Company pianos were established by Newton Camp in New York City in 1879. Originally, Mr. Camp was a partner in the firm "Estey & Camp" before venturing out to create his own company. Camp & Company produced a diverse range of pianos including square pianos, grand pianos, upright pianos, and organs. In the early 20th century, the firm rebranded to "The Newton Piano & Organ Company" due to the success of their Newton line of pianos and organs. These instruments were known for their quality craftsmanship and were built under contract by the Henry G. Johnson Piano Manufacturing Company of Bellevue, Iowa. The company was eventually sold to Kohler & Campbell around 1930, which continued producing the Newton brand for several years thereafter​.
